-Rachel Scholler
I’m Rachel Scholler, a 17-year veteran of the Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) industry. My journey into this work was deeply personal — I launched my business in 2008 after realizing my grandfather didn’t have access to the safe, compassionate transportation he needed. That single moment of frustration sparked a mission. I built Lakeshore Transportation from the ground up to serve people like him — and over the next 17 years, it grew into a respected, profitable company that truly made a difference in our community.
When I started, there were no mentors, no playbooks — just me, figuring it out one hard lesson at a time. The NEMT industry was still new, and reliable guidance was almost impossible to find. But every obstacle became a stepping stone, and every mistake led to a breakthrough. Nearly two decades later, I sold my company in a successful seven-figure exit — and now, I’ve turned those hard-earned lessons into a roadmap for others to follow.
Through my consulting business, NEMT Growth Consultants, I now work with founders across the country to create operations that are not only profitable but deeply purpose-driven. I took great pride in the business I built and the empathetic team I led — and today, I help my clients cultivate that same kind of excellence. Because at its core, NEMT is a service industry. And I believe we’re here to serve each other
Outside of work, I’m an animal lover, an avid gardener, and mom to three amazing adult children. I live in Wisconsin with my husband — we love to travel, and we never miss a chance to see live music (especially the Zac Brown Band).
With 17 years of hands-on experience in Non-Emergency Medical Transportation, Rachel Scholler built and sold a thriving NEMT company and now helps others do the same. From startup guidance to scaling strategies, she provides proven solutions to help entrepreneurs grow businesses that are both profitable and impactful.
Rachel’s NEMT journey began with a personal mission to serve her grandfather — and turned into a full-scale operation that made a difference in countless lives. Today, she’s committed to helping others create sustainable businesses rooted in service, compassion, and community impact.
